EARC Annual Report 2023-24 published

11 March 2025

The Eastern Arc Annual Report 2023-24 has been published.

The year was a significant one in the history of the Consortium. It saw us welcoming a new member, the University of Sussex. The University, with its open, interdisciplinary and creative outlook, is a natural fit with the original Eastern Arc members. It shares a similar geographic location and complementary research strengths but, just as importantly, it has the same ethos, encouraging interdisciplinarity and being ‘disruptive by design’’.

2023-24 also saw the Consortium winning two large grants from EPSRC and UKRI: the T-PIKE Programme and the Arise Initiative, which together secured £6m.

Elsewhere we published two reports, on the challenges facing mid-career researchers, and on the opportunities for universities from devolution.

Finally, the year saw us to develop three key networks: the Coda Network, the Heritage and Culture Network, and the ‘Arc of Sanctuary’.

To find out more about all of these, have a look at our Annual Report here.
