Community food initiatives: an edible roundtable

We would like to invite participants to join us to prepare and eat some food together whilst discussing the potentials and limitations of community food initiatives.
The session will draw on findings from Dr Jupp’s recent Independent Social Research Foundation (ISRF)-funded project ‘Gifting and sharing in times of crisis’ that examined community food initiatives in three UK regions including East Kent, exploring issues of power, equality, difference and governance.
Via an interactive and embodied approach, the edible roundtable will in itself produce understanding of food, community and sharing.
