Training: Writing your first grant proposal in the humanities and social sciences

10 April 2025

Tuesday 29th April – 10am

Writing your first grant proposal in the humanities and social sciences

Writing your first grant proposal can be both confusing and intimidating, and early-career researchers can be put off applying. Rob Hodges, Research and Innovation Officer (Pre-Award) at the University of Kent, has a long track-record of helping colleagues to identify and access funding, and will be providing an overview, guidance and support to demystify the process. He will also be inviting academic guest speakers to join him.

If you are an early career researcher, or just want a refresh on the opportunities available and what to look out for in writing a proposal, do join him.

The session is free and open to colleagues at all four EARC universities, and will be hosted on Teams.
