Resources available from the Chris Whitty event

On 22 October 2026 the Eastern Arc Coda Network marked the fifth anniversary of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Professor Chris Whitty‘s pivotal report on health in coastal communities. The one day event explored what had been achieved in the interim, hearing from from those most affected by the issues the report addressed, and mapped out practical ways in which we can build on this in the next five years.

Resources from the event are now available on a dedicated page, and include:

• The delegate pack, including delegate list, programme, speaker bios and pre-event questions
• Photographs
• Recordings of the sessions
• A summary of the event.

We are planning to follow this up with two outputs:

• A briefing note for politicians and policymakers
• A manifesto for the coast, putting the voluntary sector at the heart of our endeavours.
