EARC joins the UK Reproducibility Network

05 July 2022

Eastern Arc is both a consortium that enables collaboration between and beyond our members, but also an advocate and unified voice for them in key issues affecting research.

One such issue is the reproducibility crisis in research. We set out our position in a paper that explains the background and context for the crisis, and suggests a number of steps that could and should be taken to address it.

Following this, we have become ‘affiliate stakeholders’ in the UK Reproducibility Network, along with PLOS, Science, Research Libraries UK, the Royal Society of Chemistry and others. We will continue to feed into its work, and will work across the consortium to raise awareness of the issue and encourage engagement with it.
